Views and principles

I have decided to run for the Hîncești District Council because I know first-hand what it means to produce something with your own hands in a Moldovan village — and what it means to have nowhere to sell it.

I was born in Bozieni and have been tied to my home village all my life. After culinary school I worked as a confectioner, and in the hard 1990s I opened a small workshop with my own hands. Today our confectionery employs 15 people, and our sweets are sold across the district. I did not leave, I did not give up — I built everything here.

But I see the same problems in every small producer I know: they have no access to major markets, product certification is expensive and convoluted, and local fairs are few and poorly organised. If you elect me, I will fight for: a district programme supporting the certification of artisanal products, guaranteed stalls for small producers at district fairs and festivals, and a sales system that lets a village producer reach the buyer without dozens of middlemen.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Moldovan products deserve to be seen, tasted and bought. Together we will put them on the table.

Career analysis

Simona Donciu's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.

She started "from the bottom": as a confectioner she learned the craft at the oven, not from books. She knows what physical labour, production quotas and the true taste of a product mean — the experience of the real small economy that no report can replace.

In the 1990s, when factories were closing one after another, she found the courage to open her own workshop. That decision proves initiative and resilience in crisis — rare and precious qualities for a public figure.

As the manager of an enterprise with 15 employees she learned to manage people, money and deadlines. She knows from the inside the bureaucracy small producers face: permits, inspections, certification.

Finally, she stayed in Bozieni, the village where she was born, and her sweets are made from the bounty of her native land. She is not running "for" Hîncești from somewhere outside — she is running from the midst of the community she seeks to represent.
