Views and principles

I have decided to run for the Chișinău Municipal Council because I know what it means to grow something beautiful in this country — and how hard it is to keep it alive. For 20 years I have grown flowers in the greenhouses of Durlești, and every winter teaches me the same thing: without support, honest work does not survive.

I started as an agronomist, then rented greenhouses, and since 2003 I have had my own — two hectares of flowers next to my parents' house. I know what an energy bill that eats the entire profit feels like, and what a truckload of flowers with nowhere to sell feels like. Here, a flower grower is left alone with tariffs, the market and bureaucracy.

If you elect me, I will push for concrete things: differentiated energy tariffs for agricultural greenhouses — because a greenhouse is not an apartment; a municipal fair for flowers and local producers, so we stop depending on imports; and real support programmes for greenhouse farms — from subsidies to consulting. Our flowers must reach the tables of Chișinău's residents, not wilt in greenhouses.

All my life I have had the patience of one who sows and waits. Politics needs people who know how to wait for the harvest — and how to water on time. That is what I have done all my life, and that is what I will do on the council.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can make greenhouse work respected, not ignored.

Career analysis

Ileana Reniță's career is the classic path of someone who learned the trade from the ground up. As an agronomist she understood soil and plants; as a tenant she understood risk and the price of working for herself. A councillor who has felt both sides of agriculture first-hand decides differently from one who knows it from reports.

Her 2003 decision to build her own greenhouses was a long-term bet: floriculture demands heavy investment and patience. Two hectares of working greenhouses more than 20 years later prove she knows how to plan and how to endure.

Her problems are the whole sector's problems: energy tariffs, sales, lack of support. On the council she will not talk about "agriculture" in general — she will talk about concrete bills and concrete markets, because she lives them every day.

As a woman in an agricultural sector still dominated by men, Ileana is a voice rarely heard in administration. Her experience shows that women's entrepreneurship in agriculture is not a slogan — it is a reality that needs policies.

Finally, her greenhouses stand in Durlești, next to her parents' house — not in some anonymous industrial park. She invested in the place where she was born, and that choice binds her permanently to the community she seeks to represent.
