Biography

Manole Vicol was born on 19 November 1962 in the town of Sîngerei, into a peasant family. After finishing high school he left for Bălți to study at the university, and after graduating he returned home — to the Sîngerei Theoretical High School, where he works to this day.

I have decided to run for the Sîngerei District Council because a school is not repaired with kind words — it is repaired with budgets, decisions, and people who understand what happens in a classroom.

I was born in Sîngerei, and for over forty years I have never left this high school: I joined it as a mathematics teacher in 1984, became deputy principal, and since 1997 I have been its principal. I have watched generations of pupils pass through these corridors — some became engineers, others doctors, many left.

Every day I see the same problems: a roof that has been leaking for two decades, laboratories without equipment, and young teachers leaving after two or three years — because they have nowhere to live and see no future here. That is why I will fight for concrete things: a full renovation of the Sîngerei Theoretical High School and the village schools; staff housing for young teachers so they stay in the district; real support for the olympiad movement — clubs, travel, prizes.

A school principal knows that education is not an expense — it is the only investment that never depreciates.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can make the school in Sîngerei a reason to stay, not to leave.
