Views and principles
I have decided to run for the Chișinău Municipal Council because I know from the inside how many buildings around us go up without any real quality control. I have spent nearly 40 years on construction sites, and I know where the problems hide.
I live in Codru, and every day I watch the suburb grow: new apartment blocks keep appearing, and with them come cracks, leaks and neighbours who have no one to turn to when the developer disappears. A home bought for a lifetime should not be a lottery.
As an expert in technical supervision, I will fight for concrete things: independent, mandatory technical oversight for every new construction site in the suburbs; real safety inspections of buildings already in use; protection for homebuyers — clear contracts and genuine accountability for developers.
This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can make sure that in Codru and across Chișinău, buildings are safe, honest and made for people.
Career analysis
Paula Negru's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.
She started "from the bottom": as a technician she saw the construction site from the inside — blueprints, concrete, deadlines. That stage taught her the essential thing: behind every line in a project stand real people who will live in that building.
As an engineer she learned to make decisions and put her signature under them. In construction, a signature means responsibility for people's safety, and that rigour made her a woman of deeds, not words.
Since 2000 she has been an expert in technical supervision: an independent arbiter who knows how to say "no" when quality is at stake. The ability to stand up to developers' pressure is exactly what a council needs.
Finally, she lives in Codru and sees the construction sites of her native suburb with her own eyes every day. She is not running "for" the suburb from somewhere outside: she is running from its very midst.
