Views and principles

I have decided to run for the Chișinău Municipal Council because schools are not fixed with slogans: I have spent twenty years in the same school — from the classroom to the principal's office — and I know exactly what is missing.

I am a Chișinău native. In 2006 I joined the lyceum as a physics teacher, in 2010 I became deputy principal, and since 2015 I have been its principal. I have watched entire generations cross the schoolyard — and I have watched the best teachers leave, because the salary is not enough to live on.

I see the same problems in every school: physics and chemistry labs from the 1980s, with no modern equipment; young teachers leaving after their first year because they cannot survive on the pay; parents worried about their children's safety. A country that does not invest in schools invests in its children's departure.

If you elect me, I will fight for concrete things: modern STEM labs in every lyceum of the municipality; decent salaries and staff housing for young teachers, so they stay; a municipal school-safety programme — guards, cameras, psychologists. Chișinău's future is decided today, in classrooms.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility.

Career analysis

Stefan Nistor's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.

Four years at the blackboard: he learned the trade from the bottom — lessons, exercise books, parent meetings. He knows what an ordinary teacher's day looks like, not just what the inspectorate's reports say.

Five years as deputy principal: timetables, discipline, relations with the education authorities. He learned school administration from the inside — how decisions are made and where they get stuck.

Since 2015 he has led the lyceum: budgets, renovations, European projects, hundreds of pupils and dozens of teachers. A manager who steered a public institution through hard years without losing either pupils or staff.

Finally, twenty years in the same school: his stability is proof of his bond with the place. He is not running for a political career — he is running for the school where his children and his neighbours' children study.
