Views and principles
I have decided to run because a town is judged by its courtyards, not by speeches. For over twenty years I have worked at city hall, and I know exactly where every good project gets stuck: on a signature, on a cut budget, on someone's indifference.
I am Raisa Tofan, and I live in Durlești. I walk my child to school along the same broken pavements you see, I take my rubbish to the same containers, and in the evening I come home along the same poorly lit streets.
If you elect me, I will deliver concrete things, measurable in metres and days: well-kept courtyards and parks — with benches and greenery, not weeds; rubbish collected on time, on schedule, not by luck; repaired pavements and street lighting on every street, so people are not afraid to leave home in the evening.
I know the administration from the inside — I know which paper needs moving and which door needs knocking for things to happen.
This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can make Durlești a town that is pleasant to live in, not just to sleep in.
Career analysis
Raisa Tofan's career confirms, year by year, the qualities a townspeople's representative needs.
She started as an ordinary specialist — learning administration from the ground up: citizens' requests, files, deadlines. That stage gave her a real understanding of people's needs, not the one you see in statistics.
As a senior specialist she coordinated projects and teams, learning how to turn a piece of paper into a construction site. She saw how a good idea dies in a drawer — and how it can be saved.
Since 2013 she has headed the Urban Amenities Department — with a budget, staff, and direct accountability for every bench installed and every street lit. Experience managing public money under everyone's eyes is the best school for a councillor.
Finally, the fact that she lives in the town she administers means she answers personally for every decision. She is not running "for" Durlești from somewhere outside — she is running from its very midst.
