Views and principles

I have decided to run for the Cantemir District Council because a village's health begins with the family doctor — and the family doctor in our villages needs help herself. For seven years I have been the doctor of three villages, and I know what it means to be the only person in a white coat for kilometres around.

I was not born in Acui de Jos, but I chose this village. I studied medicine in Chișinău, at Nicolae Testemițanu University, and after my residency I chose the village over the capital: first the Cantemir Health Centre, and since 2023 I have been the family doctor in Acui de Jos.

I see the problems every day: the medical post in Acui de Jos needs repair and equipment, sick elderly people cannot reach a doctor, and prevention — timely check-ups — is entirely absent. A disease caught in time costs ten times less than one treated late.

If you elect me, I will push for the repair and equipping of the Acui de Jos medical post, mobile medical teams for the elderly, and real prevention programmes in the villages. Health must not depend on a postcode.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can bring healthcare in Cantemir's villages close to the people.

Career analysis

Veronica Negara's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.

After her studies she chose the village over the capital — and that alone is a statement. In a profession where everyone gravitates to the city, choosing three villages speaks of vocation louder than any words.

Her residency gave her a solid foundation: she is a doctor, not a medicine administrator. The decisions she makes every day concern human lives — and nothing teaches responsibility like that.

Work at the Cantemir Health Centre showed her the system from the inside: how district healthcare is arranged, where it stalls, and what can be changed.

Three villages on her shoulders are a daily school of organisation and closeness to people: she knows her patients by name, and they know her phone number by heart.

Her proposals — repairing the medical post, mobile teams, prevention — were born in the consultation room, not in an official's office. She is running to represent those she treats.
