Views and principles
I have decided to run for the Cantemir District Council because children's health is not fixed only in a hospital ward: it starts with the building they are treated in and the equipment that keeps them alive.
I was born in Cantemir district. After six years of university and two of residency I came back home: I worked as a paediatrician at the Cantemir District Hospital, and since 2016 I have headed its Paediatrics Department. I have held thousands of our district's children in my arms — and I know exactly what the department needs.
Every day I see the same problems: wards in urgent need of renovation; outdated neonatal equipment on which newborns' lives depend; villages where the patronage nurse arrives too rarely. A child from Cantemir deserves the same chances as a child from Chișinău.
If you elect me, I will fight for concrete things: a full renovation of the Paediatrics Department; modern neonatal equipment for the maternity ward; a district patronage programme for newborns, with regular visits to every village. No child should pay for the distance to the capital.
This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility.
Career analysis
Ecaterina Raileanu's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.
As a resident doctor she learned "on-call" medicine: sleepless nights, fast decisions, responsibility for the most fragile patients — children. That school of emergency care makes her a person of deeds, not promises.
As a paediatrician she earned the trust of thousands of families in the district. Parents entrust her with the most precious thing they have — and that kind of trust cannot be bought with election campaigns; it is earned over years of work.
Since 2016 she has headed the Paediatrics Department: managing doctors, nurses, schedules and budgets. She knows what it takes to keep a ward running on limited resources — exactly the kind of management a district council needs.
Finally, after her studies she returned to her home district, although she could have stayed in Chișinău. She treats the children of the villages she herself comes from. Her candidacy is the continuation of the same mission, with different tools.
