Views and principles

I have decided to run for the Florești District Council because I have seen those whom society forgets fastest: lonely elderly people in the villages and children from struggling families. For ten years, my work has been to stand by them.

I was born in the village of Bezeni and grew up among the people I help today. I studied social work at Moldova State University, and after graduating I came back home: first as a social worker at my native village's mayor's office, then as an inspector, and today I coordinate the district's social services.

I know by name dozens of elderly people who live alone and await a visit like a holiday. I know children who go to school hungry. Their problems are not solved with fine words, but with concrete services: home care for the elderly, a day centre for children from vulnerable families, and benefits that arrive on time, without bureaucracy.

If you elect me, I will fight for these things — so that no elderly person in Florești is forgotten and no child grows up without support.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can make our district care for its most vulnerable.

Career analysis

Mariana Vîrlan's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.

She started at her native village's mayor's office — and knows people's needs not from statistics but from faces. Someone who has knocked on lonely elderly people's doors herself will not speak about social policy in abstractions.

Ten years beside the most vulnerable teach what no textbooks give: patience, attention to the person, the ability not to look away. In politics these qualities are rare; for a voters' representative they are a necessity.

Her path from social worker to inspector and then coordinator shows she knows the system from the inside and can make it work for people, not for reports.

Her proposals — home care, a day centre for children, accessible benefits — were born from practice. These are not slogans but the plan of someone who sees every day where it hurts.

Finally, her roots are in Bezeni. She serves the community that raised her, and she is not running "for" the district from somewhere outside, but from its very midst.
