Views and principles

I have decided to run for the Căușeni District Council because a good road is the beginning of any normal life. People do not ask for the impossible — they ask to get to school, to the hospital and to the market without wrecking their car.

I was born in Baimaclia and I have been building roads for over two decades. I started as a foreman, with blueprints in my hands and mud on my boots, and today I coordinate construction sites across the district. I know every dangerous bend, every stretch that floods, and every village the bus cannot reach in winter.

I know the problems from the field, not from an office: inter-village roads degrade after every winter, pavements are almost non-existent, and rainwater eats the asphalt because there is no storm drainage. That is not fate — it is a lack of planning and oversight.

If you elect me, I will push for three concrete things: an annual inter-village road repair programme with priorities agreed together with the mayors; pavements in villages, where children walk on the roadway; drainage and storm sewers on the flooded stretches. Every leu spent on roads must be visible.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Roads are not built with promises, but by people who know the trade. Together we can build them as they should be built.

Career analysis

Radu Oprea's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.

He started "from the bottom": as a foreman he stood with the workers in the mud and learned what a working day, a bag of cement and an hour of delay cost. That stage taught him respect for public money and for the people who actually do the work.

As an engineer he learned to read designs, to control quality and to say "no" to shoddy work. He saw from the inside how money is made and lost on public works — an experience no administration course can provide.

As a site manager he handles people, machinery, deadlines and safety. He learned to answer for decisions with immediate consequences: a badly built road shows after the first winter. His responsibility is not theoretical — it is measured in kilometres.

Finally, he was born in Baimaclia and has spent over two decades building the roads of the district he lives in. He is not running for status, but because he knows exactly what needs to be done — and how.
