Views and principles

I have decided to run for the Dondușeni District Council because public money must be counted carefully and spent in plain sight. For ten years I have worked with our district's figures, and I know where every leu gets lost.

I was born and raised in Dondușeni. I studied accounting at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova in Chișinău, and after graduating I came back home: first to a private company, then to the district council, and today I am the chief accountant of the Finance Department.

The problem I see every day is simple and serious: people do not know where the district's money goes. Budget reports exist, but they are written in a language nobody understands, and public procurement often passes without real oversight. A budget people do not understand is a budget they cannot control.

If you elect me, I will demand public budget reports that everyone can understand, strict procurement oversight, and financial literacy lessons in schools — so our young people know the value of an honestly earned leu.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can make every leu of Dondușeni's budget work for the people.

Career analysis

Igor Bejenaru's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.

He started in the private sector — and knows the value of every earned leu. Someone who has counted a business's money himself will not throw taxpayers' money around.

Moving to the district council showed him both sides of the economy: private and public. He understands both those who pay taxes and those who allocate them — a rare combination.

The chief accountant's post is personal responsibility for the correctness of every figure. Accounting tolerates no approximation: the balance either adds up or it does not. That rigour is exactly what public money management lacks.

He knows the district budget from the inside — every line, every procurement. He knows precisely where money is lost and where it works.

Finally, after studying in Chișinău he returned to Dondușeni. He invests his competence in his home district — and he is not running "for" it from somewhere outside, but from its very midst.
