Views and principles

I have decided to run for the Telenești District Council because I want my experience as an agronomist, manager and local administration professional to work for the people here — not gather dust in filing cabinets.

I was born in Brînzenii Noi and, after my studies, I came back home — I left neither for Chișinău nor abroad. For 28 years I have worked in our district's agriculture: I started as an agronomist in the fields, ran an agricultural enterprise, and for eight years headed the Agriculture Department of the District Council. I know the villages, roads and problems of Telenești by name.

I am running because I know I can bring the real voice of ordinary people into the council: of farmers who wait months for subsidies, of parents who drive their children along broken roads, of young people who leave because they see no future here.

If you elect me, I will take on concrete tasks: full transparency of the district budget — every leu spent must be verifiable; real support for agricultural producers — easier access to subsidies and programmes; water, sewerage and street lighting in our villages; roads that are repaired, not patched.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can make Telenești a district where people want to stay.

Career analysis

Mihai Rotaru's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.

He started "from the soil": as chief agronomist he worked directly in the fields, alongside machine operators and farm workers. That stage taught him respect for real work and an understanding of the district's economy — agriculture, which feeds Telenești.

As director of an agricultural enterprise (2003–2011), he learned to manage people, budgets and risks: eight years during which a farming business stayed profitable in a far from easy time for Moldovan farmers. A good gospodar is known by results, not words.

Eight years heading the Agriculture Department of the District Council (2011–2019) showed him local administration from the inside: how decisions are made, where money gets lost, and why good projects stay on paper. That experience underpins his conviction that local budgets must be transparent and that mayoralties and councils must be closer to the people.

Finally, his choice to stay in Brînzenii Noi — to invest here rather than leave — proves his bond with the territory he seeks to represent. He is not running "for" Telenești from somewhere else: he is running from its very midst.
