Views and principles
I have decided to run for the Glodeni District Council because, in eighteen years of social work, I have seen more poverty than any polished report can hide.
I was born and raised in Glodeni. After university I came back home: I started as a field social worker, then became a social protection inspector, and since 2016 I have directed the district's social assistance centre. I know each of our beneficiaries by name — because I have been in their homes.
Every day I see the same problems: women fleeing violence with nowhere to shelter; lonely elderly people, forgotten by everyone, who need a day centre; young families who cannot afford housing. Poverty is not fixed with election handouts, but with services that work every day.
If you elect me, I will fight for concrete things: a shelter for victims of domestic violence; a day centre for the elderly in every town of the district; a social housing programme for young families and vulnerable people. No one in Glodeni should feel abandoned.
This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility.
Career analysis
Larisa Pogor's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.
As a field social worker she entered hundreds of homes: she saw poverty, illness and violence up close, not from an office. That experience makes her immune to airbrushed reports — she knows what reality looks like beyond the statistics.
As a social protection inspector she learned the administrative side of the system: case files, eligibility criteria, benefit budgets. She knows how the social protection machinery works — and where it jams — which lets her propose solutions that can actually be applied.
Since 2016 she has directed the district social assistance centre: managing people, programmes and partnerships with non-governmental organisations. She has learned to turn limited resources into real services, day after day — exactly the kind of management a district council needs.
Finally, her entire career is tied to the same district: the beneficiaries know her, the mayors know her. She is not running to "discover" social problems, but to solve them with tools she has already mastered for ten years.
