Views and principles
I have decided to run for the Criuleni District Council because thirty years in the police have taught me one simple thing: people's safety is ensured not only by patrols, but also by sound decisions in the council.
I was born in Criuleni, I grew up here, and here I caught my first offenders as a sector officer. I climbed every rung — from patrol to heading the district's Criminal Service. I know crime from the inside: I know where people steal, how they are cheated, and where drugs come from.
If you elect me, I will fight for concrete things: real programmes to prevent theft and fraud — especially against those who prey on the elderly; drug prevention among young people — with schools, families and the police together; a police force people can trust — with open stations and officers present in the villages.
This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can make the Criuleni district a place where people feel safe.
Career analysis
Margarita Căldare's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.
She started "from the bottom": as a sector officer she learned the trade from real cases — broken doors, cheated people, families destroyed by drugs. That stage taught her that behind every file stands a person waiting for help, not statistics.
As an operative officer she learned to make decisions under pressure and to take responsibility. Field work does not forgive improvisation: every mistake has a cost, and that rigour made her a woman of deeds, not words.
Since 2007 she has headed the district's Criminal Service — people, files, operations, results. Experience in coordinating an entire structure and answering for a district's safety is exactly the kind of schooling a district councillor needs.
Finally, her choice to serve her native district for three decades — instead of seeking a career in the capital — proves her bond with the territory she seeks to represent. She is not running "for" Criuleni from somewhere outside: she is running from its very midst.
