Views and principles

I have decided to run for the Dubăsari District Council because I have spent ten years writing about people's problems — and I have understood that sometimes one article is not enough. Some things must be changed from the inside.

I was born in the village of Corjova and grew up with the district newspaper on the table. I studied journalism at Moldova State University, worked as a correspondent, then as an editor, and in 2022 I founded an independent news channel about our district — because people deserve to know the truth about what happens around them.

As a journalist I have seen how local councils make decisions: in a rush, without debate, without people knowing. I have seen entire villages without decent internet in the year 2026. Information is power, and its absence leaves people defenceless.

If you elect me, I will demand council sessions that are broadcast and explained publicly, the publication of all local decisions, and quality internet in every village of the district. An informed voter is a strong voter.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can make truth stop being a luxury in Dubăsari.

Career analysis

Vitalie Iațco's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.

Ten years in the local press means knowing the district street by street, problem by problem. He wrote about people, not about figures in reports — and it shows.

Journalism taught him to ask uncomfortable questions and verify facts instead of taking words on trust. A voters' representative needs that skill more than oratory.

An independent channel takes courage: telling the truth when it is easier to stay silent. Independence from power is the main asset of someone running to represent people, not bosses.

For years he covered local councils' decisions — and he knows exactly what must change in their openness: broadcasts, publications, clear explanations.

Finally, his roots are in Corjova. He writes and runs for his own people — not "for" the district from somewhere outside, but from its very midst.
