Emil Frumusachi

Biography

Emil Frumusachi was born on 17 September 1966 in the village of Codreanca, Strășeni district, into a family of teachers. After graduating from the Faculty of Law of the Moldova State University he worked as a collective farm's legal adviser, then as a mayoralty lawyer, and since 2001 he has practised as an attorney specialising in land and inheritance disputes.

I have decided to run for the Strășeni District Council because land is a villager's most precious asset — and too many people lose it through ignorance or at the hands of fraudsters.

I was born in Codreanca and have spent my life defending ordinary people's interests: first as a collective farm's legal adviser, then as a mayoralty lawyer, and since 2001 as an attorney. I have seen hundreds of cases where a signature made in haste cost a family its entire fortune.

Today I see three painful problems: land plots remain unregistered or are registered incorrectly, inheritance cases drag through the courts for years, and lonely elderly people fall prey to fraudsters who take their houses and land. If you elect me, I will demand: a district programme of free legal aid for registering land plots, simpler inheritance procedures at the local level, and a real line of defence for the elderly against property fraud.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. The land inherited from our parents must remain our children's. Together we will defend it.
