Views and principles

I have decided to run for the Strășeni District Council because the safety of our villages is not secured with declarations — it is secured by people who know the job from the inside. I wore the uniform for 21 years, and I know what order in a village means.

I was born in Cojușna and have served my entire life in my native district: first as a militiaman, then as a neighbourhood police officer, and later as head of a police sector. I have been in reserve since 2007, but I never left the profession — I chair the district's police veterans' organisation.

Every day I see the same problems: villages where people are afraid to go out in the evening because there is no street lighting; young neighbourhood officers with no one to learn the craft from, because the bond between generations has broken.

If you elect me, I will fight for concrete things: mentoring programmes in which experienced officers guide the young ones; a real police presence in the villages; street lighting in every locality of the district — because a lit street is a safe street.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can make our villages places where people feel safe.

Career analysis

Iacob Paladi's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.

He started "from the bottom": as a patrol militiaman he learned the craft on the street. That stage taught him the essential thing — order begins not with orders, but with people's respect.

As a neighbourhood officer he knew every house in his sector. He knows what people's trust means, how dearly it is earned and how easily it is lost.

As head of a sector he managed people and crisis situations. Leadership experience in a structure where mistakes are costly is exactly the schooling a district councillor needs.

In reserve he chairs the veterans' organisation — he keeps the generations of police officers connected. Mentoring is not a slogan for him; it is daily practice.

Finally, he gave 40 years of service to his native district. He is not running "for" Strășeni from somewhere outside: he is running from its very midst.
