Biography

Svetlana Hanganu was born on 9 December 1982 in the village of Alava, Ștefan Vodă district, into a family of economists. After graduating from the Ștefan Vodă high school, she studied accounting and audit in Chișinău at the Academy of Economic Studies, which she graduated from in 2004. She worked as the accountant of the Alava school, then of the primăria, and since 2015 she has been the chief accountant of the Alava village primăria.

I have decided to run for the Ștefan Vodă District Council because for twenty years I have counted my village's money — leu by leu — and I know that people's trust is won with figures on the table, not with promises. The public budget is not the mayor's safe: it is the village's shared wallet.

I was born in Alava. I studied accounting in Chișinău, worked as a school accountant, then at the primăria, and since 2015 I have been the chief accountant of the Alava village primăria. I have been through inspections and audits, through years when you had to choose between repairing the school roof and street lighting. I know where every penny gets lost — and I know it can be done differently.

If you elect me, I will fight for concrete things: full budget transparency — every expense published, so people see where their money goes; electronic payments for all primăria services, so no one depends on "who knows whom"; and energy efficiency of public buildings: insulating the school and the primăria means lower bills and money left for what matters.
