Views and principles

I have decided to run for the Strășeni District Council because for twenty years I have earned my living raising poultry, and I know that the Moldovan farmer is left alone to face prices, retail chains and bureaucracy. Agriculture does not live on slogans — it lives on honest calculations.

I was born in Chirianca. I studied zootechnics, worked as a zootechnician at a poultry factory, and in 2010 I rented my first poultry house. In 2016 I built my own farm: eggs and poultry meat, jobs for people from the village. I know what it means when feed prices jump overnight, when a vet visit costs a salary, and when a retail chain takes your goods for next to nothing.

If you elect me, I will fight for concrete things: real and timely subsidies for livestock farming — not funds that run out before you reach the counter; access for small farmers to retail chains, through cooperatives and fair contracts; and support programmes for young people who want to start a farm in the village, not just leave to work abroad.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Those who feed the country deserve to be heard.

Career analysis

Viorica Afteni's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.

As a zootechnician she learned the trade from the ground up: feed, breeds, diseases, production plans. In agriculture there are no pretty promises — only calculations and daily work, and that school of reality shaped her as a person of deeds.

Her 2010 decision to rent a poultry house was her first entrepreneurial step: risking her own money, working from dawn to dusk, taking responsibility for people. She learned to manage costs and negotiate — skills a councillor needs at every budget session.

Since 2016 she has run her own farm: employees, suppliers, clients, inspections. Experience in keeping an agricultural business afloat in an unstable market is exactly the kind of real economic experience the administration lacks.

Finally, her farm is in Chirianca, her native village, and her three children are growing up there. She is running so that other young people can also live off work in the village, not leave — a bond with the territory that no promise can replace.
