Oxana Eftodi was born on 9 December 1990 in the town of Cimișlia, into a family of teachers. After graduating from high school she studied journalism at Moldova State University, graduating in 2012. She worked four years as a correspondent for the district newspaper, then four years as an editor, and since 2020 she has been the founder of an independent news portal for Cimișlia District.

I have decided to run for the Cimișlia District Council because, after fourteen years in the press, I know one simple thing: democracy dies in darkness. And in our district there is too much darkness around public money.

I was born in Cimișlia. After studying journalism I worked four years as a correspondent for the district newspaper, then four years as an editor, and since 2020 I have run my own independent news portal for Cimișlia District. I write about what others prefer to keep quiet: budgets, procurements, decisions taken in secret.

I know people want to know where their money goes, but they have nowhere to find out. I know many have a problem with the mayoralty or the council and do not know where to complain. That is why, if you elect me, I will fight for concrete things: transparent local budgets, verified also through independent journalistic investigations; a public platform for residents' complaints, where every complaint gets an answer; media literacy in schools, so young people can tell news from manipulation.

Information is power. And power must belong to the people.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can bring light into every corner of the administration in Cimișlia.
