Views and principles

I have decided to run for the Bălți Municipal Council because the law must work for people, not against them. For years I have sat on the same side of the table as those who come to a lawyer only after an injustice has already happened.

I was born and raised in Bălți. I studied law at Alecu Russo State University in my home town, and I took my first professional steps at Bălți City Hall itself — as a legal adviser. I know how the administration makes its decisions — from the inside.

Today I run my own law practice. Most of my clients are ordinary people: unfairly dismissed workers, single mothers not receiving child support, pensioners made to sign papers they do not understand. Many do not know their rights and cannot afford a lawyer. That is where my idea came from: free legal aid for low-income residents.

If I am elected, I will demand something simple: every city hall decision published and explained in language people understand, and primary free legal aid funded from the budget. Transparency is not a luxury — it is an obligation.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can make the law stand with the people of Bălți.

Career analysis

Alina Dima's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.

Her first years as a legal adviser at city hall taught her the essential thing: she knows the administration from the inside — how decisions are born and where people's petitions get lost. Someone who has seen the mechanism from within cannot be fooled by glossy reports.

Her traineeship was a school of the craft: small cases, real people, first cases won. There she understood that behind every file of documents stands a human fate.

Her own practice in labour and family disputes made her a voice for ordinary people: unfairly dismissed workers, single mothers, pensioners. Every case won is not just a fee — it is trust.

The idea of free legal aid for the low-income was born not from textbooks but from practice — from dozens of people who left her office empty-handed because they could not pay. That is already a civic stance, not just a profession.

Finally, she was born, studied and works in Bălți. She is not running "for" Bălți from somewhere outside — she is running from its very midst, and she knows the city not from reports but from its streets and people.
