Views and principles

I have decided to run for the Edineț District Council because light and warmth in our homes are not a luxury — they are a normality we have a right to.

I was born in Alexeevca and for eight years I have maintained our district's power grids. I started as a linesman, with a ladder and pliers, and today I lead a team serving the surrounding villages. I know every pole and every transformer in my area.

Every day I see the problems: worn-out grids that fail at the first storm; entire villages left without power for hours; streets in Alexeevca plunged into darkness at night; households still waiting for the gasification promised years ago.

If you elect me, I will push for concrete things: modernising the villages' power grids so outages become the exception, not the rule; street lighting in Alexeevca and the neighbouring villages; completing gasification where people have waited for years. Energy is not a luxury — it is the basis of a normal life.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can make sure the lights in our villages never go out again.

Career analysis

Dorel Harbuz's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.

He started "from the bottom": as a linesman he climbed poles in rain and frost, repaired faults at night while the whole village slept. That stage taught him what real infrastructure is — not the kind from reports, but wires, transformers, and people left without light.

As an engineer he learned to think in systems: to plan, to prevent faults, to make technical decisions affecting thousands of households. Engineering rigour made him a man of concrete solutions.

As a sector foreman he learned to lead a team and to answer for an entire territory. The experience of managing people and limited resources is exactly what a district councillor must do.

Finally, his choice to work in his native district — on the grids of the village where he was born — proves his bond with the territory he seeks to represent. He is not running "for" Edineț from somewhere outside: he is running from its very midst.
