I have decided to run for the Anenii Noi District Council because a village school is not a building — it is the heart of the village. If the school dies, the village dies too.

I was born in the Anenii Noi district, and for over forty years I have never left the school in Barcareni: I joined it as a teacher in 1983, became deputy principal, and since 1996 I have been its principal. I have watched our village's children become teachers, agronomists, doctors — and I have seen how many of them left.

Every day I see the same problems: village schools that some want to close "for optimisation"; children who no longer know how to hold a hammer; the village's history, disappearing together with the old people. That is why I will fight for concrete things: no school in the district closed without the community's consent — and money for repairs, not for paperwork; a school museum in Barcareni, where children learn the history of their land from real objects; workshops and practical clubs, so that every child knows how to make something with their own hands.

A village school principal knows that true education is not measured in reports — but in the people who stay.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can make the village school a reason to stay, not to leave.
