Views and principles

I have decided to run for the Rîșcani District Council because I know how hard a village woman works for her bread — and how much a job close to home can change.

I was born in Aluniș. At 20 I was a seamstress in a state workshop; in 1989, when everything was changing, I opened my own atelier, and since 1997 I have run a sewing workshop employing ten women from our village. Ten families who do not need to leave for the city or abroad to make a living.

Every day I see the same problems: small workshops with few and unstable orders; young girls with nowhere to learn a real trade; craftspeople working alone, with no support at all.

If you elect me, I will fight for concrete things: district procurement programmes for local workshops — schools, hospitals and town halls buying from district producers; free vocational courses for young women; real support for craftspeople — from workspaces to sales fairs.

This candidacy is not about office — it is about responsibility. Together we can make sure that in our villages, a trade is a reason to stay, not to leave.

Career analysis

Carmen Sava's career confirms, step by step, the qualities a voters' representative needs.

She started "from the bottom": as a seamstress she learned the trade with her own hands. That stage taught her the essential thing — behind every garment stands labour, and labour must be paid fairly.

In 1989, in the most turbulent of times, she dared to open her own atelier. Entrepreneurial courage in years when everything familiar was collapsing is a rare and valuable quality.

Since 1997 she has managed ten workers. She is responsible for their wages, for orders, for the workshop's future. Management experience with real people behind it is exactly the schooling a district councillor needs.

Forty years in the trade, in one village — she knows the village's real economy: orders, raw materials, sales markets. She did not read about it in reports; she lives it every day.

Finally, she invests in her native village instead of leaving it. She is not running "for" Aluniș from somewhere outside: she is running from its very midst.
